YourSI Privacy Policy (preview)
This policy explains what YourSI LLC collects when you use YourSI and Ava, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. It is still under legal review.
The short version
- YourSI is for adults 18 and older. We do not ask for or keep your age or your date of birth.
- What you tell Ava is kept encrypted and only for you.
- You can have Ava forget something, or everything, at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Ava does nothing as you without your yes.
1. What we collect
- What you say and type to Ava, and her replies. Your voice is turned into text so she can understand you. We don't store recordings of your voice: the audio goes to our speech-to-text provider to be turned into text, and is not saved by us.
- What you ask Ava to remember, and short notes and summaries she keeps so she can help you next time.
- Things you choose to show her, such as a photo of a bill. We don't store the image itself. Only the details read from it (for a bill: the provider, plan, monthly amount and line items) are kept, until the visit ends.
- Account details: a passkey identifier (your Face ID itself never leaves your device), that you confirmed you are 18 or older and when, and which terms version you accepted and when.
- Technical data: device and browser type, approximate timing and quality measurements of conversations, error logs, and security events. Our servers log your IP address with each request.
We don't ask for card or bank details, ID numbers, passwords or your home address in this preview.
2. Why we use it
- To run YourSI for you: understand you, answer you and remember what you asked her to remember.
- To keep YourSI safe and secure, prevent abuse, and keep the adults-only rule.
- To measure and improve speed and quality (for example, how fast Ava answers).
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't use what you tell Ava for advertising, and we don't sell or rent it.
3. Who else handles it
We use service providers to run YourSI. They process information only to provide their service to us, under agreements that restrict their use of it:
- AI models that understand and answer you: Anthropic (Claude).
- Voice: ElevenLabs (speech-to-text) and xAI (Ava's voice).
- Real-time audio: LiveKit.
- Hosting and databases: Render.
- No other providers receive what you tell Ava.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of YourSI, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
4. How we protect it
What you tell Ava is encrypted with a key that is specific to you. Access by our staff is limited to what's needed to run and fix the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information, and we will tell you if a breach affects you as the law requires.
5. How long we keep it
We keep what you tell Ava until you ask her to forget it, delete your account, or we close the preview. If you tell Ava you are under 18, that visit and everything said in it are deleted right away.
6. Your choices and rights
- Forget: ask Ava to forget something, or everything.
- See it: ask Ava what she remembers about you.
- Delete: ask us to delete your account and your data.
- Correct: tell Ava when something she remembers is wrong.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under the law, such as getting a copy of your data or appealing a decision we make about your request. Email us at support@yoursi.ai and we will answer within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
7. Children
YourSI is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has shared information with us, we delete it.
8. Where it is processed
YourSI and its providers operate in the United States. If you use YourSI from outside the US, your information is processed in the US.
9. Changes
When this policy changes, the version at the top changes. If a change matters, Ava will tell you in plain words.
